The Aussie's are HERE!!!!!!

We have had such a blast with my sister (who lives in Australia) and her fam here with us! Her boys, Tommy and William are so wonderful...they are the sweetest, cutest things! Every now and then, they say something with a really clear Aussie accent...it is SOOO cute to hear the accent coming out of those little guys. We have had lots of dinners together and this past weekend we all headed to the coast together to celebrate Taylor's (my other nephew) birthday on the beach! It was so fun! Matty's first trip to the beach! The cousins just love Matthew...they want to hold him and carry him and feed him! Matty just smiles and giggles and goes with the flow.

Before I forget, check out the Dinner Delight link in our "links we love" - there are 2 great new recipe's. I made Beef Dilly a couple nights ago! OH MY GOSH - YUMMO! I was a huge skeptic, but Stacy always has good recipe's, so I thought I should try it...one of our favorite's!

Matthew LOVES when we sing to him...here is Daddy singing the ABC's to him...he has the biggest smile and giggle! It's just priceless...


We took our new Bumbo seat to the beach! Matthew loves it. He can sit up and look around at everyone. He does not like laying down...loves sitting up and interacting with everyone. We took the seat to the beach, eating out, he sits on the coffee table at home so all the cousins can run around him and play with him...they love making him laugh! It's the greatest invention!

Five on Friday!

Okay - so, my friend Stacy is the blogging queen and she updates her blog with ten things every Tuesday - "Ten on Tuesday"...well, I dont know if I will have ten things and I have meetings all day Tuesday, so, here it is..."Five on Friday"

1. Matthew is the happiest little guy in the world! He is such a JOY to be around...he wakes every morning talking and giggling and when we go in to get him, he rolls over, looks up and cracks up...the BIGGEST smile you have ever seen! I am trying to get a good shot of it, but it may be video camera time. A picture just does NOT do it justice. So, he giggling and laughing and talking so much...unless he is tired, hungry OR in his car seat. THe car rides are less than enjoyable to say the least!

2. Our good friends just had a baby boy...Ethan Heare. Check our our links we love...we have added several fun sites including Ethan's blog! I was really overwhelmed with God's goodness as I met Ethan for the first time. You know, life is so changing, but God is not. That really is a huge deal. When there is craziness all around us, God is constant! As we are walking through trials and the ups and downs of life, I am more and more interested in better understanding the "nature" of God. He is good and he is loving...but what does that look like in my own life. How am I experiencing His goodness and love for me? I am SO thankful for my family. For Brian and Matty...they have changed me and I am better for knowing them. My Pastor gave a sermon talking about being grateful...he asked the question, "Can we look at God and say, 'It would be enough that I have husband who loves me..yet still, you gave us Matthew'" Anyway, enough of a rant, I was just so thankful for a God who cares about the details of life as I held little Ethan Heare...he is just perfect and blessed and I was thankful.


3. We have grandparents who adore our sweet boy...what fun they are. We love hanging out at the pool in our old neighborhood! It is beautiful and we go at least once a week


4. We have gotten to spend more time with our friends Linda and Randy...here I am with Mommy's mentor and great friend Linda! We love the whole Marceau family!


5. I am showing off my big smile here! Again, just doesnt do it justice!


6. Okay, so I know there was only suppose to be 5, but this one is cute...I LOVE his eyes!

Court, Bri and Matthew

Summer fun with family and friends..

Well, it has been a long time since our last update. I am trying to pick a day that I do this weekly...so stay posted. Matthew is growing fast! We are enjoying our little man so much! He is talking up a storm. He giggles and coos and smiles. Unless he is tired or hungry, he is the HAPPIEST little guy in the world. He is such a blessing and joy!

We had a rainy 4th of July, but it ended up being very relaxing, which was nice.

Brian is working a lot and staying busy...they are starting to get another division of his company better developed which is fun and exciting for them. The Custom Home division..they are hiring a friend to run it and so they are praying that division of the business will grow as the commercial side has. So, all is well there.

I am taking a break from work right now, really. Being with Matthew and learning how to be a house wife. Not desperate actually - I love it. Love cooking more and being with Matty. Its a gift

All is well with us and no real changes on the adoption front. We are doing well and are ready for the rain to stop so we can all go swimming again.

My sister (Kristin) gets in town in a few weeks with her whole fam...that will be awesome.,..we are counting the days - literally until they get there from "Down Under"
