Outdoor Activities...

So...Brian and I have very different ideas about how to "play" outside. As of late, he enjoys running, biking and swimming...as for me...love chillin by the pool with friends! What can I say?!? Seriously though, I am very proud of Brian - this is his 3rd Sprint Triathalon! But...you can still find me by the pool relaxin! :)

You can find the Garrison Clan hanging out at the pool in Cordillera Ranch (our old neighborhood) about one or two days a week. Brian and I just love it! It is really like going to a resort and being on vacation...Check out the fam hanging at the pool and the beautiful view. Anyone San Antonio or Boerne friends...come join us at the "resort"...

This is the view from the "adult" pool...NO KIDS ALLOWED. We dont get to hang out there, but we walked over and took a picutre of it at least. I went once with my friend Amanda when we both had babysitters...they have a mean Pina Colada! :)

Adventures of Matthew Garrison...

This summer has been filled with lots of traveling...from Colorado to all over Texas...Dallas, Austin, the Beach, The Lake,etc... We have had a blast and experienced many firsts with our sweet boy. Here are a few pics of Matty just hanging out at home...


All tuckered out in his swing...This is a RARE site. Matthew usually NEVER sleeps anywhere but his bed. If he is around people, he wants to be in the middle of the action. Note: see the rolls on his arm...love those baby rolls!


Our Aussie family has gone home! We miss them already. Here is our last dinner before they left. Uncle Scott and Cousin William are trying their best to entertain me...I am pretty much only interested in my feet as of late...doesnt take much!


Speaking of feet...Matthew will only sleep on his stomach, so we are thankful for a stroller that reclines. He will lay on his tummy and fall asleep. Thought this was a cute pic.


CEREAL! Whoo hoo! Matthew LOVES his cereal. This is his second time eating cereal. He likes it.


Messy face! Not sure how the cereal got on his forehead...Matthew tries to hold the spoon, and sometimes, the cereal goes flying!

Matthew's First Wedding!

We have a good friend that got married in Austin...so, we hit the road to Lakeway Resort in Austin. It was great! We got to swim, hang out with friends...it was such fun! Matthew had a great time...and I must say, he was a hit. Everyone was so sweet to him...just loving on him the whole weekend.

I was a bridesmaid and this is my sweet friend Shannon - the beautiful bride! It was a great time. Lucky Matthew getting love from the girls.


The Fam! Brian read the scripture at the wedding and I was in it as well so Matthew got to sit in the "cry room" with a babysitter! But, he was there for the whole thing!

JUMP!!

Matty has joined the ranks with the best of em...he has been using his legs forever now and wanting to stand up in our laps and just about wherever we stand him up...so, I figured it was time to get him his own little jumping vehicle. The JUMPEROO! It's a hit. He cracks up at himself when he makes himslef jump. He is more running then jumping though. His little legs just go and go so fast like he is running. It's really funny to watch.

Matthew is having his favorite snack...his fingers. He tries most of the time to get his whole fist in his mouth. He is officially the most drooly baby on the block! He LOVES to chew on his fingers...he get's after it. And drools and drools....and drools! We should've bought stock in bibs...

Matthew went back to the pediatrician this week. He is 18 of the cutest pounds I have ever seen! 18! The comment we get when people see him is usually something like, "wow, what are you feeding that kid?" He is a big boy and we love it. Our little cuddle bug!

A LITTLE COMMENTARY ON OUR FIRST TRIP TO BUILD A BEAR...

we went to build a bear with the fam and took my 2 nephews William and Tommy...I had the best of intentions of taking lots of pictures. But, picture this. A PACKED store with so many kids all about the same size. A really long line, A 4 month old who is hitting nap time and screaming over every 4 and 5 year old there. A 3 and 4 year old nephew that are so overwhelmed and excited, rules like, "stay by me", or "hold my hand" need not even be spoken. I am sweating, Brian is silent and stunned looking...to say the least, we had to let Matthew cry it out in his stroller because we had to have a man to man defense with the 2 mobile kids. It was all we could do to keep one eye on the stroller and one on the two boys! It was really fun! Watching how excited the boys were was the best part...as thier little animals got stuffed! They were so excited as was I! We dont get to do stuff like this with them very often because they live so far, it was a real treat...for all of us! All I can say is, it is a full on aerobic work out, and it is worth every minute!
